The most eligible bachelor of Tamil cinema Karthi Shivakumar entered the wedlock with Ranjini, a MA English literature graduate and daughter of Chinnaswamy and Jothi Meenakshi of Erode, on 3 July at Coimbatore.
Only family members attended the function. A recception is organised for the Southern stars in Chennai on Thursday. The stars within the family, father Sivakumar, brother Surya and wife Jyothika were there. Tight security arrangements were made. The wedding mohoortham was at 5.45 am and Codissia trade fair complex is the venue. .
The wedding is arranged by elders of the family. Ranjani was a student of Stella Maris College. Karthi, an engineering graduate had made it big in Tamil cinema acting in blockbusters like Paruthi Veeran, Nan Mahan Alla, Siruthai and Ayirathil Oruvan. It may be recalled that Suriya, Karthi's elder brother was married to actress Jothika and they have two children. He is one of the most promising heroes of current Kollywood. Karthi took up acting career following footsteps of his father and brother Suriya.. Karthi made his debut in films as an assistant director working for Manirathnam and later shot to fame with his mind-boggling performance in different avatars with the filmsParuthiveeran', 'Aayirathil Oruvan', 'Paiyaa', 'Naan Mahaan Alla' and 'Siruthai'.There were rumors that Karthi will marry Tamanna but they have condemned those gossips all the time.
